TEAL BEAUTY

So, this bad boy arrived today.

Oh, Mr. Postman, you've been far too kind to me as of late (my bank account agrees)(more on this later).

It's a gorgeous teal dress from Mossman (more on this later, also) that looks like suede/velvet but is far sturdier - you ladies feel my pain when someone's had just a bit too much to drink on a night out and you're left to deal with the disaster of their spilt drink on your beautiful suede skirt/dress, am I right?

The only down side is that the sleeves are too big... Oh, the woes of being petite.

Now let's go out! I'm ready to dance the night away in this baby.

MYCATWALK

So when you're stuck at home, sick as a dog, feeling like something's died inside of you, what better way to cure yourself than to do a little retail therapy? Yep, I believe that's exactly what the doctor prescribed.

Although I do have another incentive... Having attended the MBFWA Mycatwalk party for the launch of Miss Elin Kling's line Nowhere, thanks to my highschool sweetheart (yeah gurl), Emily (find her at www.ohmygilded.blogspot.com), I'm left with an awesome gift voucher which I'm desperate to use.

Maybe it's how I got the voucher in the first place or the fact that her genius designs appeal greatly to my love of basics, but I'm leaning toward Miss Kling...

I fell in love with this knit at the launch party... It feels like heaven too!

I've been looking for the perfect white long-sleeved blouse for YONKS and even though this is black, it's got the exact kind of simplicity that I love. This could be the winner!

On a side note, Elin was the second blogger I started to avidly follow, the first being Rumi Neely of fashiontoast (no surprise there), way back in 2009 so it's amazing that I can finally have a little slice of her style to myself! Can't wait!

UPDATE: The Maar Sheer shirt has been bought, arrived, opened, worn, gently stroked and I'm in love!!! Can't wait to wear it. Might just sleep in it every night...

"HOW CAN SOMETHING SO GANGSTER...

...be so pretty in pictures?"

If someone would ever like to write about me like Jay does about B, feel free.

MY LOVE, A. WANG

Despite the laughable title (I swear we're not immature), this is actually a very serious post...

Minimal. Dark colours. Clean silhouettes. Leather accents. Chunky knits. Simple blouses. THOSE SHOES. T by Alexander Wang A/W '12, you are all that I could want in a designer collection and more.
I may be late on this bandwagon but my love for this collection is undying.

So could someone please hook a brother up (?!) with Mr. Wang because I want him all over me - the clothes, that is.

ROOM FOR CHANGE

Enough is enough! I have had it with this motherf***king mess in my motherf***king room!

Everyone needs to parody that line once in their life and now that I have, let's move on and never speak of it again.

So, what is this "motherf***king mess in your motherf***king room", you ask?

Well, it's cluttered, it's mismatched, it's not fun to look at and... it's home. Home however, like many things in my life, is due for a makeover and if I can't get Rachel Zoe to makeover my wardrobe then Chateau de Michelle will have to do.

Watch this space.

Can you tell there's just something about white beds that makes me froth at the mouth?

just talking about who we were

The best songs are the ones that take you out of the present and bring you back to a moment, a sense, a memory. The ones that give you feelings you can't articulate.

This is one of them.

Always a favourite.

FRESH STARTS

Truth be told, I've made several attempts at having (and up-keeping - that's the tricky part) a blog, the fruits of which are, well... non-existent, shall we say? HOWEVER, as a maturing, young, independent woman, I've found a sort of resilience, a sort of determination... Enter dramatic music and Chris Evans to whisk me up into his muscular, muscular arms and into the distant sunset - I'm just joking about the Chris Evans bit (but not really)... So let's try this once again:

eighteen, sydney
pr & advertising student
ambitious over-spender
sarcasm is my first language
dreaming about travelling 24/7
will be living in london one day...
interest in interior design
lover of white blouses, red lipstick and lace bras
obsessed with tattoos...paired with facial hair (yeahyeah)
(If you desire proof of these infatuations, watch this space...)

So with all that said and done, there's really only one thing left to be said:

Hope you enjoy the ride!

ps. the title of this blog is subject to change. As made evident by the fact this is my fourth (fifth?) blog, I'm not the greatest at commitment. We'll see...
